Founded in 1998 by Mina Ebrahimi, Saint Germain Catering started as a corporate catering company servicing the Tysons Corner, VA market. As our reputation for superior service and high-quality food became known among the area’s top Fortune 500 companies, clients began requesting Mina to coordinate and cater their family’s anniversary parties, Bat Mitzvahs, weddings and special celebratory events.

Today, Saint Germain Catering is the largest woman-owned catering company in the country. We manage up to 200 events per day and serve more than 7,000 people each day throughout Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia. Our versatile menu offerings include cuisine from all around the world with a focus on incorporating locally farmed meat, cheese and produce into our fresh and healthy dishes. We truly understand every aspect of full-service and drop-off catering and take great pleasure in ensuring our client’s special day progresses flawlessly from the delivery of a sandwich platter to formal wedding setups.

Over the years, we have been happy to support our local community and charitable causes. We've fed firefighters during September 11th, donated proceeds to Hurricane Katrina efforts, and sponsored non-interventional veterinary research at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine. We're always looking for new friendships and partnerships to form that can help those in need. A few causes we support:

Bite Me Cancer

Bite Me Cancer was formed as a nonprofit foundation in September, 2010, by Nikki Ferraro, who was 17-years old at the time. Nikki was diagnosed with a rare form of thyroid cancer in April 2010 when she was a junior at Chantilly HS in Virginia. Nikki was determined to lead a Relay for Life team just two weeks after her diagnosis. She named the team Bite Me Cancer and experienced immediate success. Saint Germain Catering has created a dozen of decorated cupcakes to help raise money for Thyroid Cancer in teens. The proceeds from the sales will be donated to Bite Me Cancer.

Battle Mammary Cancer in Dogs

Get a tasty treat with Saint Germain Catering and help battle breast cancer in dogs. 100% of our cupcake proceeds go toward U Penn's Tumor Research Program. Order delicious cupcakes today - and help Saint Germain Catering take a bite out of canine breast cancer.

The 25TH Project

The purpose for The 25th Project is to provide essentials for the homeless once a month. Most of us get busy with our lives and forget the need that is out there in the community. On the 25th of each month they have the opportunity to serve the homeless. The 25th Project feels that we can effectively help others for not only this year but for years to come. Saint Germain Catering is proud to sponsor food donation and other supplies such as tents and blankets throughout the year to this organization.

Mina Ebrahimi Foundation

Our very own Mina Ebrahimi has a foundation designed to assist women entrepreneurs accomplish their goals. This foundation has been a dream of Mina's for many years, and Saint Germain Catering is excited to see it come to fruition.

Operation Homefront DC

Saint Germain Catering cares about military families and has donated $25,000 to Operation Homefront DC. This organization works to support military families in the Washington DC area.

Penn Vet Working Dog Center

Man's best friend works as hard as man - and needs similar support! Saint Germain Catering has given a $1,500 donation for K-9 training products. With the love and support of a working dog, there's nothing the police can't accomplish.

Dog Anesthesiology Research

Dogs get sick and need relief from pain just like any human. Saint Germain Catering has given a $2,500 donation to help conduct a study on how best to administer pain medication to dogs.

Interventional Paws

Our very own CEO, Mina, has started this non-profit to help needy pet owners get the veterinary care necessary for their beloved animals. Veterinary care can be expensive, and Saint Germain Catering is happy to help!

Ovarian Cancer Detection Program

The Penn Vet Working Dog Center, Penn Physics Department, Penn Medicine’s Division of Gynecologic Oncology, and the Monell Chemical Senses Center have joined together to study ovarian cancer detection by dogs and e-sensors. Saint Germain Catering is proud to sponsor the work of one of these cancer detection canines, McBaine, a Springer Spaniel. To date we have donated over $10,000 to provided continued training

Q: What type of food service options do you offer?

We offer five levels of food service: drop-off service, buffet catering, family-style catering, plated catering and food stations.

Q: How is the food delivered?

We offer three options: pick up, drop off with set-up and on-site staffed service.

Q: Where do you deliver?

We deliver throughout the entire Washington DC Metro area including parts of Maryand and Virginia. If you are unsure if you reside within this area contact us at 703-506-9396 or email us today.

Q: May I order a la carte?

Any menu item may be ordered individually if the quantity meets our minimum requirements

Q: Do you serve vegetarian, vegan or gluten free dishes?

Yes! We offer a variety of freshly made vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free menu items. Contact us at 703-506-9396 or email us for further information on special menu and dietary restriction requests.

Q: How can I reserve a date?

Contact our special events department at 703-506-9396 / option #3 for a proposal. Once approved, return the signed contract along with a 50% deposit to officially reserve your event date, time and pricing.

Q: What rental services do you offer?

We provide a full range of rental services including tables, tents, chairs, linens, china, lighting, A\V, staff, entertainers, ice sculptures, bathrooms, bands, DJ's and more.

Q: Is a deposit always required?

All orders require a 50% deposit to reserve. Events requiring rentals and/or staff service include additional considerations and policies. Contact our special events department at 703-506-9396 / option #3 or send us an email for further information. Accepted payments include cash, corporate checks, money orders, certified checks, Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express® and Discover®.

Q: How much advance notice is required for an order?

For most catering events, 24 hours is sufficient advance notice. For large events or special menus and rentals (including corporate events and weddings), we may require additional time. Email us for further information.

Q: How much are servers?

Servers are billed at a rate of $35.00/hour. Billing will include set up, service and closing of the event.

Q: What additional charges can I expect?

Beyond the cost of food, appropriate state sales taxes are added to all orders. In addition, delivery will be calculated based on the number of guests and location of the event.

Saint Germain Catering is a full service catering company. We can help you plan your event from start to finish.

Special event catering includes cocktail receptions, award receptions, ceremonies and other events hosted by companies, organizations, universities and institutions. Our special event catering incorporates on-site servers, event supervision, rentals, decor and much more to ensure a flawless experience for you and your guests.

It is our pleasure to create a Unique Menu tailored perfectly for your taste, budget and event needs. Our Special Event Coordinators start by consulting with you in-person or over the phone about your vision and ideas, drawing inspiration from your favorite foods, event goals, and personality.Full-service event menus are confirmed through a private tasting with our chef and your Special Event Coordinator. The tasting is an opportunity to preview selections from your event menu and share your preferences. We believe private tastings are essential to providing you with the best service and experience.

On event day, you will be relaxed and confident that your guests will receive impeccable service and food.  No matter what shape your event takes, we can do it all. Served meals, chef stations, buffets and passed service are all our specialty. Our team is well-trained, experienced and passionate about perfecting your celebration.

Delivery

Our prompt, professional personnel will deliver right to your door. Delivery charges are based on distance. Delivery is available seven days a week, from 6 AM to 6 PM. We can deliver before or after these hours for an additional charge. Please contact us for rates.

Set-Up

Our trained professional drivers will come and set up your catered event no matter if its in a office or your home.

Service Staff

We can provide certified service staff, porters and captains for your event. Please call for pricing.

Rentals

We offer a wide variety of rentals and services from decor to linen to lighting and AV. If you can dream it we can source it out for you, please call us for more information.
